There are vacancies for Overseas trained nurses or midwives wanting to work in the UK . Nurses must register with Nursing & Midwifery Council and obtain necessary Visa to work in the UK.

There are four fields of Nursing categories on NMC register; namely:

• Adult nursing

• Mental health nursing

• Learning disabilities nursing

• Children’s nursing

Overseas nurses that meets set criteria can apply to NMC register as

• Nurses

• Midwifes

• Specialist community public health nurses (SCPHN)

Trained general nurses , should apply for registration with NMC as an adult nurse. If applicants want to register on more than one part of the register or field of practice, they should apply for each part/field at the same time.
